Devils Make First Round of Roster Cuts

The Devils made their first round of cuts to their training camp roster, sending five players back to their junior teams and one to Binghamton of the AHL.

Forwards Mitchell Hoelscher and Graeme Clarke and defenseman Nikita Okhotyuk were all sent back to the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League.

Defenseman Xavier Bernard was sent to the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL and defenseman Michael Vukojevic was sent to the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL.

Goaltender Akira Schmid was sent back to the Omaha Lancers of the USHL.

Goalie Eamon McAdam was sent to the Binghamton Devils of the American Hockey League. He will report to their training camp when it opens.

The Devils will play their next preseason game on Wednesday at the Rangers from Madison Square Garden.
