Devils Executive Vice President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald announce today that the team has signed defenseman Michael Vukojevic to a three-year entry level deal that will start with the 2021-22 season.
Vukojevic was the Devils’ third round pick (their fifth pick of the Draft), 82nd overall in the 2019 Draft.
The 19-year-old was born in Croatia, but moved to Oakville, Ontario at two years old. He spent the 2017-18 through 2019-20 seasons with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. He had career highs in the 2019-20 season in points with 30 and goals with five.
He is a left-handed shooting d-man who has been with the Binghamton Devils of the American Hockey League during the OHL’s pause this season.
In Binghamton, he has one goal and four assists (five points) and ten PIM.
Vukojevic is 6-feet, 3-inches tall and 210 pounds. He has represented Canada internationally on the Under-18 team in 2019 at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. In that tournament, he and his current Binghamton teammate Graeme Clarke won gold with the Canadian team.
