Devils-Sens Game Rescheduled for December 6

The Devils versus Ottawa Senators game that was postponed this past Tuesday will now be played on December 6 according to a staff post on the “Inside the Devils Blog” on the team’s official website.

The game was postponed due to the Senators having about ten players and staff on COVID-19 Protocol. The NHL announced today that they game will now be played on Monday, December 6 at 7 PM at Prudential Center in Newark.

It was originally supposed to be played on November 16 at the same location.

The ticket information remains the same as announced when the game was postponed: Devils Black and Red Members, Premium Partners, Partial Plan Holders and Group Leaders will contact their Devils Account Managers should they have questions (the tickets should be good for the makeup date). They can email the Account Managers at tickets@newjerseydevils.com.

If you purchased through Ticketmaster as an induvial game, Ticketmaster should have sent you an email (directly from Ticketmaster, remember) and your tickets will be valid for the new date.

The post reminds people that, if you did purchase through an unaffiliated source (i.e. Seat Geek or Stub Hub), you will need to contact their customer service should you have any questions.

Off topic, but of note, the same post on this topic also says that tomorrow’s game from Tampa against the Lightning will feature a slightly different broadcast team on MSG+.

The broadcast, beginning at 3:30 PM on MSG+ will see Matt Loughlin call play-by-play with analyst Ken Daneyko. Chris Westcott and Sam Kasan will call the radio side on the Devils Hockey Network, replacing the usual team of Loughlin and Chico Resch.

Loughlin is likely back on the TV side for this game only due to regular play-by-play man Steve Cangialosi’s commitment to the New York Red Bulls MLS Playoff game at the Philadelphia Union.

A quick check of NewYorkRedBulls.com reveals that, indeed, the game is being broadcast tomorrow on MSG+ with a 2:30 PM kickoff down in Philly.

Good luck to Cangi and to the Red Bulls as they begin their quest to hoist their first MLS Cup!
